A lot of millennials dream of a life much different from a standard office nine-to-five. Most of them want to live life on their own terms, in a surrounding where they are the ones in charge. A big part of them also don't want to stay in one place; the world is massive and they intend to see it all! But as tempting as travelling the world sounds, you still need a way to support yourself. Don't worry, here are some ways you can make money online and on the go.

Document Your Travels

If you are actually going to live your own digital nomadic life, enduring the good and bad of not having your own bed for the night and travelling from place to place, people are going to be interested in your story. And my, oh my, are you going to have stories to tell! Video equipment is getting cheaper and cheaper, and getting a durable camera and some additional equipment is a good investment. This means that every few days, you can take a break from adventures to sit down and edit your photos and videos to upload, or work with a team somewhere in the world to work their magic with your footage. Be honest an charismatic and shoe people what it is actually like to live while travelling the world. And if you think that filming means you won't be 'living in the moment', remember that you only need to document a few minutes of each location, so you have plenty of time to revel in the beauty yourself. If you're not into videography and appearing in front of the camera, then get behind the lens and start taking some photos. Nature and wildlife photos can be sold on various stock photo sites or you can set up your own shop where people can buy them!

Give Your Opinion

It's so easy you won't even feel like you are actually working. When you learn that you can get paid to take surveys, you won't want to have a new job ever again. It's a great option for anyone that can't work for a table every day because you can simply fill out the surveys whenever you have the time and an internet connection! A lot of companies want reliable information about their customers, marketing and products, and an honest opinion means a lot to them.

Put Your Skills Up For Sale

Do you have a talent for writing? You might make a great copywriter, ghostwriter or proofreader. These are jobs that you can do even if you are not constantly online since all you need the internet for is to download the files, see the demand, and upload the finished product. Or, if you have a talent for digital drawing or graphic design, you can set up a shop or a profile on a freelancing website and put your talent to work. If you want a decent income, you will probably have to put aside a few hours every day to do it, but it is a small price to pay for living the nomad life in today's world.

Virtual Assistant

Just like a regular assistant, the work you do will depend on who your boss is, but if you make it very clear at the very beginning what your scope of tasks is, you shouldn't have any problems. You will most likely be taking care of small administrative tasks for them, organising their schedule, and preparing paperwork. Make sure that they know you're travelling and hat you might not be able to come online if they need you ASAP, however, for this job, you will probably have to be online every day or several times per day during the week. This will pay closest to a regular full-time job, so it is a good investment of your time if you can plan your travel times around it. This is especially great if you can be a virtual assistant to someone you've worked with in the past in person, like a previous boss or professor.

So now that you know it is perfectly possible to support yourself while travelling, are you already packing your bags? Make sure you have a reliable computer to use and you will be well on your way to starting now only your digital nomad career, but your digital nomad life.
